Spice It Up This Valentine’s Day

Spice It Up!

Valentine’s Day is coming up, and that means love is in the air! What better way to spice your love life up than with aphrodisiac spices. You might be thinking, how can spices like ginger, cayenne pepper, cinnamon, saffron, nutmeg, and vanilla spice up my love life?
It’s true!

Aphrodisiac spices increase sexual desire. Many of you might know of the Greek goddess, Aphrodite, who is the goddess of love and sexuality, so it is by no accident that the word aphrodisiac comes from her name.

Ginger

Ginger can create internal heat and has been used by people for centuries to “heat things up” with their significant other. It can affect our sensory levels in many ways. It’s warming properties get our blood flowing, and its cooling properties soothe tension. And if you are trying to get pregnant this Valentine’s Day, then ginger is definitely the gift for you! Studies have shown that ginger boosts fertility, increases sperm motility, and viability.

Cayenne Pepper

Cayenne pepper is said to be very stimulating and accelerates blood flow.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon is also great because it’s spicy yet sweet! It increases body temperature, circulation, and promotes general well-being. And most importantly, it increases your appetite, both physically and sexually.

Saffron

Saffron, which was also used in ancient medicine, is known to be aphrodisiac because it is said to be as powerful as some hormones.

Nutmeg

Nutmeg is also said to stimulate your nervous system and lead to an increase in sex drive and sexual desire.

Vanilla

The seeds located inside of the vanilla bean are said to have euphoric effects. So if you want to increase and enhance your sex drive, vanilla is the spice for you!
So if you are trying to surprise your partner, and have a spicy Valentine’s Day, use some or all of these spices to spice up your love life.
